Just for Today, August 26

Turn thine eyes back upon thyself, and see thou judge not the doings of others. In judging others a man labours in vain, often errs, and easily sins: but in judging and in looking into himself, he always labours with fruit.
-Bk. I, ch. xiv.
________________

He that judges me is the Lord; Jesus Christ is my judge. In order to obtain a favourable verdict, or rather, to escape being judged at all, for He has said: Judge not and you shall not be judged (Luke vi, 37), I shall try always to have charitable thoughts.
-The Story of a Soul (L'Histoire d'une Âme).
