Thoughts of St Augustine for December 30

WHAT you reckon many years is a short time to God. All the beauty of the year scarcely lasts the twelvemonth out. How soon the flowers are gone....The grass has withered and the flower is fallen, but the word of the Lord abideth for ever (Isa. xl. 6).
