Principles and Practices - September 26

Really Wonderful

It is impossible for anyone to think seriously of what Holy Communion really is without feeling, if I may so express myself, bewildered, overwhelmed, and almost confounded by the undreamed of and wholly unparalleled depths of divine condescension it supposes. It is so profound and unfathomable a mystery, and indicates a charity so measureless and infinite, that one feels almost as though one dared not think of it, lest the thought should crush and paralyse one's heart and
senses.
