Principles and Practices - September 28

To Know Is To Want

Heavenly love must be our motive, our aim: all must be observed with loving charity because we are enamoured of spiritual beauty. Now, we know the nature of our will is such that as soon as it has discovered some fair and lovable object it at once desires to possess and enjoy it. God is surpassingly beautiful, good, and perfect, and His goodness leads Him to communicate to souls who serve Him some tiny portion of these virtues.

-St. Jane Frances.
