More on the letter by Fr. William Forst....

In an attempt to understand the confusion shown in a letter by Fr. Forst, a Google search allows one to gain some insight into the reasons.

Apparently, Fr. Forst, along with several others, were signatories of an Open letter to Cardinal Ratzinger which claimed to be a "Statement of Solidarity and Support of Women Called to the Ordained Ministry".

This statement of "support" comes from the Quixote Center, a group which dissents from the teachings of the Church and promotes this dissent without regret. It is nothing more than an outright rejection of a truth of the Faith (that ordination is reserved to males alone) that requires one's assent to remain Catholic. Such a rejection places one outside the bounds of the Church and can rightly be seen as a rejection of Christ and His authority.
