Newly Elected Episcopal Woman Bishop Says Homosexuality Is No Sin

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Newly elected leader of the U.S. Episcopal Church Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori said on Monday she believed homosexuality was no sin and homosexuals were created by God to love people of the same gender.

Jefferts Schori, bishop of the Diocese of Nevada, was elected on Sunday as the first woman leader of the 2.3 million-member Episcopal Church. the U.S. branch of the worldwide Anglican Communion. She will formally take office later this year.

It's interesting to note that Schori was raised Roman Catholic...whatever that means these days. And just to be clear, homosexual inclinations are not sinful- it is a cross to be carried, a temptation to be resisted. It becomes sonfulwhen one acts upon those inclinations in an unchaste manner. But I'm fairly certain that "Bishopress" Schori includes acts of sodomy, etc, as natural, sinless acts.

It's amazing that the sins listed in the Bible are no longer sins today - morality is whatever one wishes it to be. This is the dictatorship of relativism of which Pope Benedict XVI spoke.
