Kerry is no heretic, says unnamed Vatican source.
The first paragraph caused me to spew my coffee all over my monitor and keyboard:
The Roman Catholic Church's official news service is quoting an unnamed Vatican official saying that John Kerry is "not a heretic" for his stance on abortion rights. And I always thought the National Catholic Reporter was the "official news service" of the "Roman Catholic Church". Maybe the New York Times got this bit of information from the unnamed Vatican official as a bonus for writing the article?
The article continues, using the phrase "conservative Catholic" to describe both Marc Balestrieri and the group "DeFide". I supposed this would be opposed to a "heretical Catholic"?
The story is not up-to-date, which is probable why the Post printed it. If you like reading old news, which is also inaccurate, go here.
