Archbishop honors pro-abortion politician

San Francisco’s George Niederauer pays homage to the late Leo McCarthy

On April 21, Archbishop George Niederauer joined Catholic Charities CYO of San Francisco in honoring a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual rights politician -- the late Leo T. McCarthy.

As chairman of the Catholic Charities board, Niederauer presented the organization’s 2007 Loaves and Fishes Awards to the honorees, including one for “Outstanding Service to the Community in dedication to the life and works of Leo T. McCarthy,” according to an April 23 Catholic Charities press release.
