Soeur Genevieve had been looking at a box used for sweets at a christening, and remarked that the child's head on the lid would serve her as a model for an angel's head. St Teresa wanted very much to see it, but as no one thought of showing it to her, she made the sacrifice of not asking. I learnt this from her own lips later.
