June 10-Installation of Archbishop-elect Robert J. Carlson

Archbishop-elect Robert J. Carlson will be installed by Justin Cardinal Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia and former Archbishop of St. Louis, as the 10th Bishop and 9th Archbishop of St. Louis. At the time of the Installation, he will assume the responsibilities of the Archbishop of St. Louis. The Installation Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. For those not able to attend, the Mass will be streamed live on archstl.org.

Evening Prayer is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica. At this prayer service, civic leaders, leaders from other religions, and representatives of the various groups that make up the Archdiocese of St. Louis will be presented to Archbishop-elect Carlson. A reception will follow at Rosati-Kain High School where the faithful will have the opportunity to greet Archbishop-elect Carlson.
