They've Resorted to Stealing Signs

It appears that we are not alone in having our "Vote NO on Amendment 2" signs stolen, or destroyed...

Down the road, on parish property, was a large plastic "Vote NO" sign about 5' to 6' wide, secured with cable ties to two steel fenceposts...Sometime over the weekend, it was cut into pieces by, presumably, someone using a utility knife.

My 4 foot by 2 foot, plastic sign at the edge of our property near the road, was also secured with cable ties to two steel fenceposts...It disappeared on Friday evening. I noticed it missing as I arrived home from Adoration about 7:15pm...My first thought was that the wind had ripped it away, but a closer inspection revealed the cut cable ties on the ground with fresh foot prints in the area.

Up and down the road, the same thing...the "Vote No" yard signs had all vanished...but we had more and the missing ones were replaced.

Of course, we should not attribute blame to the supporters of the "Cloning for Killing" measure...After all, why would those who are so determined to lie and distort the truth stoop to such measures as denying others the right to express themselves in an open society with the simple display of a yard sign?

Apparently, free speech only applies to a select few...
