NOW we find a citizen of Jerusalem, a citizen of the kingdom of heaven, occupied in some administration on earth; for instance, he wears the purple, he is a magistrate, a town clerk, a proconsul, the Emperor, he has a function in the earthly Commonwealth, but he has his heart aloft, if he is a Christian faithful man, pious, making little of what he is at, and hoping for what he has not yet reached.
