'Late Nite Catechism 2' at All Saints in St. Peters

From an E-Mail received Saturday:
All Saints Parish in St. Peters is presenting the play "Late Night Catechism 2" at the parish gym next Saturday April 16th at 6:00PM.

The play is described as the sequel to Late Nite Catechism this time featuring "Sister" conducting an adult catechism class focusing on Purgatory, Heaven and Hell. "Sister" of course is not really a religious nun, but a professional actress who's theological credibility is irrelevant to this "funny" show. Satire is not an element of our faith. We live in a time when the serious nature of our faith and it's application in daily lives is of utmost importance.

Look in the Classified section of this week's St. Louis Review and you will see the advertisement for this play. The picture alone is an outrage, but if you scan further down in the box you'll find the following statement from the Los Angeles Times:
"Even funnier than the original. Who knew damnation could be so much fun!"

In case you were thinking about expressing an opinion on this parish sponsored ridicule of our faith, the pertinent information is listed below.

I have heard commercials on KMOX for the 'original' play and was outraged by what I heard. We cannot expect that this 'sequel' will be any better.

Please let your thoughts be known and ask your friends and family to express theirs too.
I, too, have noticed some rather questionable ads in the Review...Most notably, those from the Aquinas Institute of 'Theology'...
