An email from John Horvat of TFP brings to our attention the following:
I personally think “Jerry Springer the Opera” is one of the worst blasphemies ever! And it is playing in Carnegie Hall in New York City. The “opera” spares nothing. There are some of things you will find in this production:
* The crucifixion is mocked and the Eucharist is trashed
* There is a lady singing “Jerry eleison” (mocking the Mass: Kyrie Eleison)
* Jesus is introduced as “the hypocrite son of the fascist tyrant on high.”
* Eve gropes Jesus in a manner too indecent to describe while the Annunciation is described as a rape.
I am asking you to do two things. First send an e-protest directly to Carnegie Hall by clicking here. Second, if you live near New York City, attend our protest on Tuesday night in front of Carnegie Hall from 6-8 p.m. Click here for details.
