Misleading “Catholic” organizations such as Catholics United and Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good operated as an arm for pro-abortion Democrats in 2008 and now enjoy an important role in the Obama administration....Self-described “progressive” Catholic organizations, such as Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, Catholics United, Catholic Democrats, and Voice of the Faithful, have successfully manipulated long-standing divisions among Catholics. In 2008, President Obama, with the help of misleading propaganda from these groups, won a majority of the Catholic vote.

H1-B visa workers cannot be furloughed, but Americans can
An Atlanta Journal article brought to light a peculiar practice of employers who impose mandatory furloughs on their American employees to reduce labor costs, while exempting their H-1B employees from having to do the same. Specifically the article talks about how employees in the Georgia university system, with the exception of their H-1B counterparts, are undergoing reduced working hours and voluntary pay reductions in order to cut the operating budgets of the state's universities.

Six unemployed people for every available position
In July, there were 6.05 unemployed people for every job opening, according to the most recent data on labor turnover. In December 2007, when the recession began, there were 1.72 unemployed people for every job opening.

Treasury says millions more foreclosures coming
Only 12 percent of U.S. homeowners eligible for loan modifications under the Obama administration's housing rescue plan have had their mortgages reworked, and millions more foreclosures are coming, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday.

Hunting the 1918 Flu

Were they manifestations of a single mutation of the virus? Did the disease originate in one of three ports and travel almost instantaneously to the other two? Or were there different, simultaneous mutations? To date, we have no answers to these important questions.
