A News Break Interlude

NY Governor Spitzer: Gay Rites Will Help Families
Spitzer is ill - a man in need of prayer and conversion.

Woman drops Starbucks habit because of coffee cup quote
The quote causing the religious outrage:
"Why in moments of crisis do we ask God for strength and help? As cognitive beings, why would we ask something that may well be a figment of our imaginations for guidance? Why not search inside ourselves for the power to overcome? After all, we are strong enough to cause most of the catastrophes we need to endure."

It sounds like punishment for frequenting Starbucks in the first place.

Former Catholic church secretary admits theft of nearly $500,000
About 7 years this theft was occurring - that's roughly 70K per year...and she used the money for "lavish vacations" - I bet!

Actually, I just scanned some headlines before I went back to reading the book:
The Christ, The Son of God - A Life of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (Vol 1) by the Abbe Constant Fouard, published in 1891.

It's rather historical and combines this history with the narratives of Sacred Scripture of Jesus' life and gives great explanations about things of which I was unaware. Abbe Fouard describes the book, "This Life of Jesus is an act of faith."
