As Gandhi said ...Yet again, we hear the voices of those who are oblivious to the scandal and harm done by those who profess to be Catholic and those who, while supporting the murder of the unborn, are given a platform of honor or distinction at a Catholic institution...And the term which Mr. Kuciejczyk uses to describe Catholics reveals quite a bit about his thinking.
Regarding the St. Joseph's Academy decision to disinvite Sen. Claire McCaskill as a keynote speaker at their graduation because she is a pro-choice Roman Catholic ("Sen. McCaskill not welcome," May 1). Mohandas Gandhi used to say, "Everyone in the world knows how Christians love each other, except Christians."
Anti-choice Roman Catholics need to knock it off. St. Paul said Jesus will judge us when he comes in glory. We should not judge each other. (my emphasis)

When using the word "choice" in this context, we can safely assume that it means the choice, - the willful belief - of a Catholic to kill the unborn, in which case, one ceases to be Catholic, having stepped into the reality of heresy. Hence, a better adjective would have been a pro-life rather than "anti-choice" or, when speaking of Roman Catholics, no adjective should be necessary at all. A true Catholic will have formed his conscience properly and in accord with the teachings of Christ and His Church.
We also witness one whose understanding of the "Judge not!" directives of Jesus is utterly lacking but quite common for those who look for excuses and justifications for sinful acts.
It's unfortunate that Mr Kuciejczyk is not Catholic - otherwise he might not be as confused about the faith as his comments indicate. And if, by some remote chance he is Catholic, a prayerful reading of Gospels and the Catechism might bring some relief to his confusion.
