Thoughts from St Alphonsus for Every Day-November 3

ANOTHER pain which greatly torments the holy souls in Purgatory arises from the remembrance of the time which they have lost, and in which they might have merited so much glory in paradise, and from the con­viction that this loss is now irreparable; for after death the time of merit is at end.
