The "Popes" of the UK Speak...

U.K. Priests: Condoms 'Acceptable' in AIDS Fight
Some two-thirds of Britain's Roman Catholic priests think use of condoms could be acceptable as a means to fight AIDS, a new poll shows.
...
Moreover, a minority of 43 percent said they believe it's time for the Catholic Church as an institution to "rethink" its negative position on contraception.
I surprised the percentage isn't higher.

Here's a classic...(How many times have you heard something like this from a priest or nun or parish catechist?):
One parish priest told the Telegraph, "There's a difference between the official doctrine and what happens on a pastoral level. On a pastoral level, we can turn a blind eye to certain things and treat each individual case on its merits. It depends on each person's own principles. I would like the whole matter [of contraception] to be reviewed, but it's a very delicate issue."
If there's a difference, and there should not be - it may be due to 1)poisoned theological training, 2) weakness combined with fear of proclaiming the truth, 3) indifference for the eternal welfare of souls, 4) abandonment of one's vows, promises, faith, and ultimately the abandonment of our Lord.

Objectively, these priests' souls are in grave peril. Priests such as these (and, for that matter, professed Catholics who hold similar heretical opinions), besides being rebuked, desperately need prayers of the faithful so that they might accept God's graces, have a coversion of heart and conform their wills to the will of Christ.
