Heresy - Defended by "Ardent, Practicing Catholics?"

Pelosi stands by abortion comments

DENVER (AP) - Under fire from U.S. Catholic bishops, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is not backing off contentious comments about abortion she made during a weekend television talk show appearance....
The operative word is "OBSTINATE" and this arises from a disordered love of self to the exclusion of reality.

Brendan Daly, a spokesman for Pelosi, said in a statement Tuesday that she "fully appreciates the sanctity of family" and based her views on conception on the "views of Saint Augustine, who said: '... the law does not provide that the act (abortion) pertains to homicide, for there cannot yet be said to be a live soul in a body that lacks sensation ...'"
She no more respects the the sanctity of the family tham I respect her errouneous lies, statements or errors! At the very least, she is a material heretic who is allowed, even encouraged, to scandalize the nation's Catholics and the general public because bishops, seemingly fearful of upsetting the Democratic party, refuse to act courageously - they fear the cross, they cower in fear while wolves come to devour the sheep.

Daly said that while Catholic teaching is clear that life begins at conception, many Catholics do not agree....
Such sophistry fails to explain how this is relevant or how it impacts the truth of scientific reality. The mere fact the some so-called Catholics are willfully ignorant of the truth and reject reality has no causal effect on the truth - the truth is still the truth whether one believes it or not. Life begins at conception even if one's challenged intellect or obstinate will believes otherwise.

Lord, give us shepherds who will drives wolves from the flock; shepherds who will protect the Church and faithful from error and heresy; shepherds who will publicly and privately uphold the teachings and disciplines of the Church...including Canon 915.
