EXCOMMUNICATE THEM ALL!!! NOW!!!

Another MAJOR PUBLIC SCANDAL requiring a PUBLIC REPUDIATION!!!

Fifteen Catholic Senators voted against Nelson Amendment
Washington D.C., Dec 11, 2009 / 06:29 am (CNA).- A total of fifteen self-described Catholic Senators voted to table the Nelson-Hatch-Casey Amendment, which would have significantly restricted abortion funding from the Senate health care bill.

The Amendment failed by a 54-45 vote on Tuesday. It was co-sponsored by Democrats Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. of Pennsylvania, who were joined by Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah. Senator Nelson is a Methodist, Sen. Hatch is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Sen. Casey is a Catholic.

Besides Sen. Casey, Sen. Ted Kaufman of Delaware was the only other Catholic Democrat to vote against tabling the Nelson Amendment. Sen. Kaufman replaced Sen. Joseph Biden when he became the Vice-President of the United States.

The Catholic Democratic Senators who voted against the Nelson Amendment were Patrick Leahy of Vermont, John Kerry and Paul Kirk of Massachusetts, Robert Menendez of New Jersey, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Tom Harkin of Iowa, Richard Durbin of Illinois, Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray of Washington state, Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Barbara Mikulski of Maryland and Mark Begich of Alaska.
These vile, morally bankrupt individuals support the wanton SLAUGHTER of the INNOCENT UNBORN!!!

Bishops across this country need to do their duty to protect the faithful from the scandalous actions of these senatorial Death Peddlers!!! WHERE are our shepherds?

Dr Edward Peters: Bp. Tobin, Rep. Kennedy, and Holy Communion: First question

Dr Peters writes:
Two posts in quick succession about Bp. Tobin and Rep. Kennedy, the first questioning the coherence of reported claims that Tobin has barred Kennedy from receiving Communion, the second, confirming that no such order has been issued. Not yet, anyway.

Dr Edward Peters: The Canadian Communion blunder

Dr Peters writes:
Video tape shows Abp. Andre Richard (Moncton, New Brunswick) giving holy Communion to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper at a state funeral. It is, of course, inconceivable that Richard did not know that Harper is an evangelical Protestant. Obviously unsure what to do, Harper apparently slipped the Host into his pocket (!), and his office has not said what he eventually did with It.

Forgive Us Our Trespasses

by Alan Keyes

Worth repeating - again and again:
==================
[FYI: This past weekend Fox news reported the arrest of Randall Terry as he protested against Notre Dame's invitation and honorary degree for Barack Obama. (See Notre Dame: Promoting the Glamour of Evil, and An Open Letter to Father Jenkins.) According to the report "Terry was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on criminal trespass charges." He has since been released after posting a bond. In light of this occurrence, I feel bound in conscience to make the following statement, commitment and call to all who labor in defense of the God given and unalienable right to life.]

With the arrest of pro-life servant Randall Terry, Father Jenkins and the University administration at Notre Dame take their adulation of evil to a new level of spiritual atrocity.

In a little less than two weeks they will welcome to the university campus a man who represents the most abominable and extreme commitment ever known in US politics to destroying the God given right to life of innocent human offspring. With their actions and the "honor" they confer upon Obama, they will actively promote the lie that it is possible to dishonor God blatantly and unashamedly, yet be somehow "honorable" in the eyes of those who profess faith in Jesus Christ.

Christ said
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. (Matthew 25:31-40)
These words must ring in the ears of faithful Christians as they consider the grim reality of abortion. Every time abortionists rip a child limb from limb within the womb; every time they crush crush an infant's fragile head; every time they have scorched the life from its body with a death dealing chemical solution; every time they scrape its nascent cells of life from the walls of a womb - Jesus is savagely beaten again; his skull pressed down with thorns; his limbs pulled recklessly in their sockets; his hands and feet pierced through with nails; his breaths infused with fiery pain; his life finally extinguished; every time.

And every time there stands vociferous in the taunting crowd, the ambitious man of blood, Barack Obama. He is crying aloud, "Let Him be crucified." He is justifying the torture, forcing bystanders to aid in the atrocity, assuring that the nails are paid for and the henchmen of evil well fed and rewarded for their role in the daily crucifixion. Even the garments of the innocent children (their little organs or their stem cells), like the vesture of Christ, he prepares for division among those who perpetrate the slaughter.

All his life Randall Terry, seeing this passion play of evil repeated over and over again in our day, has born witness bravely and shamelessly against it. On the day of crucifixion, Christ endures the punishment reserved for infamous rebels and criminals. Fearing that they too would be treated as criminals, Peter and most of the other disciples run and hide. So too do many of us today. Though we profess to believe that abortion breaks God's fundamental law, we will not stand boldly with Jesus as he endures humiliating injustice. We fear for ourselves and shrink from association with the bloody and terrible images of torture and death. But through the years Randall Terry, and those who share his lion's heart for justice, have stood with the Mother of our Lord at the foot of the Cross. They have been sprinkled with the blood and water that gushed from his wounded side. They have received from the pierced and bleeding hand of our Dying Lord, the Blessed Gift by which he made his Mother Our Lady (Notre Dame), the mother of all the faithful ones who endure with Him to the end, receiving His crown of pain, which is also the crown of life.

Instead of cringing inwardly at Randall Terry's bold willingness to be arrested for bearing witness to God's truth, those who understand the gift of Christ's words and example must be moved to imitate his boldness. Tragically, ironically, a supposedly Catholic university and its administration have stepped forward to be the Bull Connors of this era's most clear and pressing battle for God given human rights. They have declared it an offense peacefully to demonstrate the evil of abortion. They have declared it an offense, prayerfully to bear witness to truth on a campus supposedly guided by and subordinate to that truth. Though it is an offense to them, it is a duty to Truth, and to Christ and to God. Wherever there are faithful hearts drawn to do this duty, they must feel now the vocation to join Randall Terry in defiance of this intimidation. I will join him. I ask others who all these years have prayed and labored for the unborn to join us. I know you are there. I have broken bread with you at dinners for crisis pregnancy centers and right to life groups. I have marched with you to proclaim the sanctity of innocent life, and decry the laws that sanction its destruction. I have been uplifted by your faith, your perseverance, your love of God and His son. The forces of evil mean to lay final claim to a place supposed to be within the precincts of our God and Lord. Come what may, we must come forth now to occupy and hold it against them.

I will go to South Bend. I will step foot on the Notre Dame campus to lift up the standard that protects the life of the innocent children of this and every generation. I will do it all day and every day until, if it be God's will, shame and the love of Christ overcome the university administration's vain craving for iniquitous "honor". I will do it though it means I shall be housed every day in the prison house of lies and injustice that Obama, Jenkins and their minions now mean to construct for those who will never be still and silent in the face of their mockery of God and justice, their celebration of evil.

If this be trespass, then forgive us our trespasses and join us in trespassing until the South Bend jail is filled to overflowing with witnesses to truth; filled beyond capacity; filled until we break the most onerous shackles of all- the ones that bind the heart and mind to evil and our nation to the path of its moral and spiritual destruction.

Dr Edward Peters: Bishop Kicanas on Catholic pro-abortion politicians

Bp. Gerald Kicanas of Tucson, now vice-president of the USCCB, gave an interview to the National Catholic Reporter's John Allen on, among other things, the situation of pro-abortion Catholic politicians. While I hesitate to read too much into Kicanas' answers (they seemed off-the-cuff, understandably so), and while I recognize that some of Allen's questions were oddly phrased, what the future USCCB president says about this issue is important, and I think a few remarks are in order.

Read about it here.

Abortion Issue Again Dividing Catholic Votes

So states the New York Times as it "reports" on the fundamental issue of life and professed "Catholics" who promote political supporters of abortion and infanticide.
SCRANTON, Pa. — Until recently, Matthew Figured, a Sunday school teacher at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church here, could not decide which candidate to vote for in the presidential election....
Then came the erroneous "theological insights" of Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, with the swift rebuttals and corrections by a number of US Bishops.
Now Mr. Figured thinks he will vote for the Republican candidate, Senator John McCain of Arizona....

A struggle within the church over how Catholic voters should think about abortion is once again flaring up just as political partisans prepare an all-out battle for the votes of Mass-going Catholics in swing-state towns like Scranton....
As long as there are so-called "Catholics for Obama," or for other supporters of murdering the unborn and those who survive and are born alive, this will remain an issue which needs constant teaching and prayer.

Progressive Catholics complain that by wading into the history of church opposition to abortion...Democratic officials are starting a distracting debate with the church hierarchy.
'Progressive' Catholics is a term which many view as code for those who embrace heresy or otherwise rebel against the Church's teachings or disciplines. In far too many cases, these people have already abandoned the Church yet cling to the name Catholic, apparently, it seems, because of some deep seated psychosis.

“Getting into Augustine and Aquinas — it is just not helpful,” said Chris Korzen, executive director of Catholics United, a progressive Catholic group running television commercials that emphasize the church’s social justice teachings....
"Catholics United" usurps the name "Catholic" and persists in confusing Catholics. CatholicCulture documents this here.

Karl Keating's E-Letter illustrates how Catholics United twists the truth in its attack upon Catholic Answer's Voter's Guide.

“I think that one of the teachings of God is to take care of the less fortunate,” said Susan Tighe, an insurance lawyer who identified herself as “a folk Catholic, from the guitar-strumming social-justice side” of the church.

A perfect example of those who are lost and claim to be Catholic though they have, essentially, left the Church. Pathetic, hippie culture buffoons who lack faith and any knowledge of authentic morality, and the natural law.

Catholic Democrats outside the campaign have also worked hard to avoid repeating the experience of 2004, when a small group of outspoken bishops dominated news coverage of the church with criticism of Democratic Senator John Kerry focused on the single issue of abortion......

The same debate is already playing out almost every day in the letters section of Scranton’s newspaper, said Jean Harris, a political scientist at the Jesuit-run University of Scranton. “It is a running debate between Catholics saying ‘abortion is the only issue’ and others saying ‘you have to look at the whole teaching of the church,’ ” she said.
Jean, of course, has it completely wrong - abortion is not the only issue - the protection of life is the fundamental issue about which all other issues revolve. We can understand her confusion; she is at a Jesuit-run institution.

Some wonder when or if the Church will purge from her fold those who follow the evil one and who usurp the name Catholic and cause untold scandal and confusion?

In a related story, "Catholics United" (and that's so difficult for me to write without provoking anger) is running a false ad claiming that John McCain is not Pro-Life on abortion...

Should we really expect anything less from those who are opposed to Christ and His Church? Are they not in league with the evil one, the father of lies, who, our Lord tells us, is a murderer from the beginning and has no truth in him?

Who's Behind the "Matthew 25 Network?"

From Catholic Citizens of Illionois, by Stephanie Block
A 'Who's Who' of Left-leaning "Catholics" Who Embrace Saul Alinsky's Marxist Strategies

The words are all about feeding the hungry, freeing sex slaves, caring for AIDS orphans - the stuff, more or less, of Matthew 25, in which Jesus exhorts those who hope to inherit the kingdom to help, in very practical, material ways, their fellow men.

And these are the right words, used to craft a message to Christian voters in terms Christians find familiar and comforting. The purpose for using them, however, is to narrow the "God gap" between Republicans, who have a long-standing advantage among religious voters, and Democrats.

Whose bright idea was this? Any of a number of people have noticed and decried this "gap" but it's only been in the last four years someone has developed an effective way to bridge it. That someone is Mara Vanderslice, who has formed the political action committee called the Matthew 25 Network to "coordinate grassroots mobilization in these Christian communities, develop credible religious surrogates in the media, respond to negative faith-based attacks, and communicate directly with undecided voters through paid advertising and direct mail." [Background authorized and paid for by The Matthew 25 Network and published at here (PDF)....]

...Democrat candidates needed "a new language to use in talking about faith and values, aimed in part at neutralizing hot-button issues."....

[And] The tactic works. According to one report, candidates coached by Vanderslice did 10 percentage points or better than Democrats nationally. They're getting elected....

The Matthew 25 Network has a good number of Catholic "endorsers" -
Ron Cruz, former Director of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Office of Hispanic Affairs;

Sharon Daly, former Vice-President of Catholic Charities;

Delores Leckey, Senior Fellow, Woodstock Theological Center and Former Director of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Secretariat for Family, Laity, Women and Youth;

Vince Miller of Georgetown University;

David O'Brien of College of the Holy Cross; and

Sr. Catherine Pinkerton, who serves on the board of Faith in Public Life and works for NETWORK, a Catholic social justice lobby.

A number of these people - Sr. Catherine, Ron Cruz, Sharon Daly, Vincent Miller, and David O'Brien - are on Obama's Catholic National Advisory Council....

Professed Catholics are at war with Christ and His Church...Pray for them and for those who become infected by their insidious disease.

Archbishop Niederauer Responds to Speaker-turned-theologian Pelosi

And he ignores Canon 915...

Archbishop addresses recent comments made by House Speaker Pelosi

Last month, in two televised interviews and a subsequent statement released through her office, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and a [professed] Catholic residing in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, made remarks that are in serious conflict with the teachings of the Catholic Church about abortion. It is my responsibility as Archbishop of San Francisco to teach clearly what Christ in his Church teaches about faith and morals, and to oppose erroneous, misleading and confusing positions when they are advanced....

While heaping praises on Pelosi as a farmer shovels manure, he does say
that the authority to teach in the Catholic Church belongs to the bishops, not to heretical or apostate Congress members who claim to be Catholic. He also indicates - Newsflash! - that Pelosi's interpretations are completely wrong and that Catholics who obstinately persist in grave error should not receive communion...

Then he provides Pelosi a major out by stating that Catholics who are honestly confused, doubtful, or uncertain may receive Holy Communion. How difficult can it be to understand that abortion is intrinsically evil? Is Pelosi, second in line to be President of the US following the VP, honestly confused, doubtful, or uncertain about this clear teaching of the Church?

I regret the necessity of addressing these issues in so public a forum, but the widespread consternation among Catholics made it unavoidable.

One would have hoped he was making the statement for the salvation of her soul and the souls of those she helps lead to eternal damnation.

Accordingly, as her pastor, I am writing to invite her into a conversation with me about these matters.
Send her a summons to appear while she is in town! Forget the "invitation" - she's been promoting the butchering and murder of the innocent unborn for years!

It is my obligation to teach forthrightly and to shepherd caringly, and that is my intent.
It is not charity to let one continue down the path of perdition, especially when she leads others to follow her.

One wonders, though, what actions the Archbishop will take if she refuses his "invitation"? Will he protect the faithful from additional scandal? Will he protect the Blessed Sacrament from more sacrilege?

Pray that the Holy Spirit enlightens his intellect and faith and provides him the courage and strength to do what he is charged to do.

Totally Inconsistent with Catholic Social Doctrine

The ramblings of Joe Biden and others are reported in the Christian Science Monitor. Biden states that "animating principle" of his faith, as taught to him by church and home, was that the cardinal sin was abuse of power...

I don't recall the Church teaching that "abuse of power" is one of the "cardinal sins" which are (by most Catholic catechisms): Pride, Covetousness, Lust, Anger, Gluttony, Envy, and Sloth.

Nevertheless, by his support of abortion rights he refuses to acknowledge that the wanton murder of the helpless, defenseless unborn is the epitomy of that "abuse of power" which he claims is the animating principle of his life.

He also says,
"There are elements within the church who say that if you are at odds with any of the teachings of the church, you are at odds with the church. I think the church is bigger than that."
Witness either pride or ignorance: "I think the church is bigger than that."

There are also elements (heretics) which claim that it is entirely laudable, even necessary, to reject certain teachings of the Church and still be an "ardent, practicing Catholic." These people are deluded.

When it comes to the teachings of the Church in which he professes to be a devout member, he seems to dismiss the fact that one of those "elements" is Jesus Christ, Himself, who said "He who hears you, hears me and he who rejects you, reject Me, and He Who sent Me."

Biden also seems to ignore the fact that the keys of the Kingdom, that is, the power to bind and loose was given, not to one's own malformed conscience or opinion, but to Peter and his successors.

"I get comfort from carrying my rosary, going to mass every Sunday. It's my time alone," he says.
I suppose it's easier to carry a rosary than it is to carry a cross.

"Joe Biden is one of the most sincere Catholics I've known in my 40 years as a priest," says Monsignor William Kerr, executive director of the Claude Pepper Center at Florida State University.
And what does it mean to be "sincere"? Is he sincerely wrong about abortion and the constant teaching of the Church? Is "sincerity" a virtue which trumps fidelity, humility, obedience?

It's difficult to believe that Biden, and other professed Catholic politicians who support infanticide, homosexuality, and other intrinsic evils, can be living in a state of ignorance - especially considering the recent focus on Catholic politicians by the news media brought about by the efforts of a small number of faithful Catholic
bishops.

Rather, the pro-death positions taken by these politicians seems, objectively, to be motivated by a arrogance and pride by which they posit that evil is good, error is truth and truth is relative - and this truth is to be determined by one's own intellect, for which the charism of infallibilty is often claimed, if not by words, then by actions.

Another prime "teaching moment" for the Church has come to the forefront of the nation. Will there be a unified effort to repel and defeat the heresies being proposed by public figures, and will we see an end to the nationwide scandals and sacrileges committed while many US bishops remain silent? Must the faithful be left unguarded and unprotected while the general public is deceived and unborn children remain targets of extermination by the "abuse of power"?

Obama's Pick for Vice President Is Catholic. But the Bishops Deny Him Communion

The reason is that Biden is a staunch abortion supporter. The archbishop of Denver is the first to withhold communion from him. From Rome, Archbishop Burke is backing his stance. And in 2004, Ratzinger wrote to the American bishops...

by Sandro Magister
Included in this article is then-Cardinal Ratzinger's 2004 memorandum to the US Bishops, Worthiness to Receive Holy Communion. General Principles and well as the recent interview by Thomas McKenna (Catholic Action for Faith and Family) of Archbishop Raymond Burke, When the minister of the Eucharist is obliged to withhold communion.

The entire article is well worth taking time to read.

Biden's Bishop Will not Permit Him, Even if Elected VP, to Speak at Catholic Schools

DELEWARE, August 26, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In an interview with Bob Krebs, the Communications Director for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, to which Senator Joseph Biden belongs, Krebs confirmed that Biden's Bishop will not permit the Senator even if elected Vice President of the United States of America to speak at Catholic schools....

Cardinal Egan Responds to Pelosi's Lies

August 26, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 26, 2008

STATEMENT OF HIS EMINENCE, EDWARD CARDINAL EGAN CONCERNING REMARKS MADE BY THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Like many other citizens of this nation, I was shocked to learn that the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States of America would make the kind of statements that were made to Mr. Tom Brokaw of NBC-TV on Sunday, August 24, 2008. What the Speaker had to say about theologians and their positions regarding abortion was not only misinformed; it was also, and especially, utterly incredible in this day and age.
It was an outright lie - and Pelosi knows it. No Catholic politician can legitimately claim to be ignorant of the Church's teaching on this matter without calling into question his or her mental competency.

We are blessed in the 21st century with crystal-clear photographs and action films of the living realities within their pregnant mothers. No one with the slightest measure of integrity or honor could fail to know what these marvelous beings manifestly, clearly, and obviously are, as they smile and wave into the world outside the womb. In simplest terms, they are human beings with an inalienable right to live, a right that the Speaker of the House of Representatives is bound to defend at all costs for the most basic of ethical reasons. They are not parts of their mothers, and what they are depends not at all upon the opinions of theologians of any faith. Anyone who dares to defend that they may be legitimately killed because another human being “chooses” to do so or for any other equally ridiculous reason should not be providing leadership in a civilized democracy worthy of the name.

Edward Cardinal Egan
Archbishop of New York

"No one with the slightest measure of integrity..."
This goes to the heart of the matter - Pelosi and other self-described Catholics who promote and support abortion "rights" have NO integrity. Any integrity that they may have had has been willingly surrendered to the the evil one, in exchange, presumably, for earthly power. One cannot embrace and drench themselves in the horrific sin of promoting abortion and abortion "rights" without losing his moral integrity. If sin really does make one stupid as some (Mark Shea?) say, what in the world does decades of sinful behavior and sacrilege do to that person? Do they not fear the wrath of God?

Personally opposed to abortion...but doesn't want to impose his views...

How much longer will we have to listen to these lies?

Biden's parish priest, Monsignor Joseph Rebman, said that he understood Biden to be personally opposed to abortion, but that he “doesn't want to impose” his views on others....

He's also personally opposed to other evils (and rights, such as the 2nd Amendment) but this charlatan has no qualms imposing his views on others in those cases...

As a man whose IQ is higher than most mere mortals, some wonder why Biden continues to receive Holy Communion despite embracing and promoting the intrinsic evil of abortion-the murder of the the least among us. Surely he knows what the Church teaches? Or does he defer to the "infallible" statements of Popette Pelosi?

Msgr. Rebman, the pastor, also stated that:
...some of the other parish priests and the bishop of the diocese have spoken with him about his pro-choice votes, but that they have never refused him Communion, as some other dioceses have done....
There is no choice in the matter if we are to understand and abide by the Church's teachings and laws - the denial of Holy Communion must be done for the sake of his own soul as well as for the safeguarding of the Blessed Sacrament and protecting the faithful from scandal.

The pastor later joked about the confluence of distinguished “Josephs,” himself, Sundaram [a visiting missionary from India], Biden and St. Joseph.

“We won't forget this day for a long time,” he said.....
Nope - another teaching moment was lost to the promoters of the Culture of Death. And the pastor demonstrated his irresponsibility in this regard.

Parishioner Becky Hardy said that Biden was a fairly regular presence at services here, and actually serves as an usher often when he attends....
How nice! Pretending to be a Catholic by being an usher. Novel!

Anti-life "Catholics" (especially politicians) and their enabling priests and bishops represent a deadly cancer in the body of Christ. This infection needs to be excised before it spreads further. So many prayers and reparations are needed and we have so little time.

Dissidents Call for Support of Fr. Roy Bourgeois

"Catholic" Action Network, a dissenting local St Louis group of self-professed Catholics who defiantly reject numerous teachings of the Church, has called for an email campaign in support of Fr. Roy Bourgeois, the Maryknoll priest who "celebrated" at liturgy at an "ordination" of a priestette in Lexington, Kentucky recently...See here, here and here.
Call to Action Alert

Fr. Roy Bourgeois of the School of the America's Watch (SOA Watch) has been called to a meeting of his superiors after he co-celebrated and gave the homily at a woman's ordination in Lexington, Kentucky. It is likely to be a "disciplinary" meeting.

Call To Action has always supported Fr. Roy and his work in closing down the SOA that trains soldiers in human rights abuses. Today, we stand again in solidarity with Fr. Roy as he seeks to end discrimination against women in the church.

Write Fr. Roy's superiors now and urge them to support Fr. Roy and women's equality in our church:

Email: Superior General John Sivalon -- jsivalon@maryknoll.org
Email: The Maryknoll Council -- mklcouncil@maryknoll.org

Or send a letter to:
Maryknoll Council
P.O. Box 303
Maryknoll, NY 10545

When we spoke with Fr. Roy this afternoon he said that the priests of Maryknoll "have been working for many years on these issues of justice and this is another issue of justice."

Support Fr. Roy and the movement for women's equality in the church. Email or write his superiors today.
Would it not be fitting, given this recent "call to action" by an openly dissenting group, for faithful Catholics to charitably write these same Marykoll superiors?

Catholics who support abortion should not receive Communion, says Archbishop Burke

Rome, Aug 19, 2008 / 10:00 am (CNA).- The prefect of the Apostolic Signature, Archbishop Raymond Burke, said this week that Catholics, especially politicians who publically defend abortion, should not receive Communion, and that ministers of Communion should be responsibly charitable in denying it to them if they ask for it, “until they have reformed their lives.”

In an interview with the magazine, Radici Christiane, Archbishop Burke pointed out that there is often a lack of reverence at Mass when receiving Communion. “Receiving the Body and Blood of Christ unworthily is a sacrilege,” he warned. “If it is done deliberately in mortal sin it is a sacrilege....”

St Stanislaus 'Pastor'- "Hero? Heretic? Parish Divided"

So the page 1 headline read in the early metro edition of the Sunday Post-Dispatch.

And seeing this, I paid the $1.50 for a hard copy version of the paper with the following picture of Marek Bozek by Emily Rasinski.

...For many St. Stanislaus parishioners whose ancestors had built the church just north of downtown, Bozek became a hero [Note: he became a 'hero' to the confused when he renounced his promise of obedience to his bishop and the Church and chose to be a "priest for hire."]

But more than two years later, Bozek has reshaped the church into a community that would be unrecognizable to those 19th-century founders....

The renegade priest supports women's "ordination" to the priesthood, allowing priests to marry and supports sodomy and sexual deviance [homosexual relationships]. Because of Bozek's apostasy - rejection of moral truths and the natural moral law, definitive teachings of the Church and disciplinary rules established by the Church, Bozek has attracted "hundreds of new St. Stanislaus parishioners who share the priest's reform-minded vision."

But this is nor reform, it's rebellion - not only against the Church but against God, Himself. Is there any wonder, then, why he attracts like-minded people to follow him in his attempt to take over a once proud Polish parish which appears to have lost control over its own destiny?

Bosek's "visions" of his church are not only antithetical to Catholicism, they are divisive even within the St Stanislaus parish.

... they have also divided the church, pitting newer members against traditional parishioners unhappy with how far the priest has gone in condemning the Roman Catholic church.

There have also been questions about the priest's trappings. He has negotiated a 143 percent salary hike, moved into a $157,000 Washington Avenue loft and leased a 2008 BMW for $450 per month.
Living at the rectory caused blood pressure problems - poor guy...
Some parishioners point to another sign that alarmed them: Bozek, while in Poland last year, bought a silver ring custom-made for a bishop there. When he returned, he showed the ring to his parish at a Sunday Mass and spoke about it from the pulpit.
Some are surprised that he hasn't formally declared himself pope yet, considering that he believes that his pontifications have more weight that the teachings of the Church.
St. Stanislaus "is now home to anyone who has a gripe with the (Catholic) church," said Stan Rozanksi, one of the men who vetted Bozek and a former board member.
This is precisely what happens when one collaborates in feeding the prideful inclinations and delusions of dissenters, heretics and schismatics. It can only get worse. Who treats the addict with more of the drugs to which he is addicted? Who continues to supply alcohol to the alcoholic? Only enablers do this! Bozek is surrounded by enablers who feed his ego, arrogance and rebellion.

This weekend, parishioners will vote to elect new board members. Bozek is confident that nearly all the candidates share his vision.
Hand picked, no doubt, from a the throngs of like-minded followers...

Bozek was supposed to be St. Stanislaus' savior. But for many longtime church members, it could be Archbishop Raymond Burke — the man they've been fighting for five years — who may save it.
A remarkably astute statement! For many, it seems that the devil always appears to be "The One" until they discover that things are not what they appeared.

As the membership has grown, so has tension among some parishioners, as Bozek continues to take stands that clash with Roman Catholic teaching. He has welcomed gays and divorced people into the church. In November 2006, he invited an openly gay pastor — the leader of a Catholic community separate from the Vatican — to celebrate Mass....

If it's separate from the Vatican, what makes it "Catholic"?

"The Roman Catholic family can be described today as dysfunctional, toxic or abusive," Bozek said. "For decades we have allowed the men who claim to be our shepherds to abuse us."
Reminds me of the speck and the mote...Bozek claims to be a shepherd yet he abuse the faithful with illicit and invalid sacraments and posits as truth erroneous teachings contrary to right reason and the moral law.

Richard Bach, who heads a group called the Concerned Parishioners of St. Stanislaus, said a large number of older members — about 100 families — had gradually come to oppose Bozek's leadership and the new members.

This is some of the best news I've heard since this St Stans fiasco has started. Readers of this blog know how many "conversations" were had with Mr. Bach and others over the actions being taken and the comments be made by the board and the spokesman. We should continue to pray for those involved in this matter.

"They're concerned about the path of the church and where he's leading them," Bach said. "A lot of the old parishioners don't consider the new ones parishioners at all."
They're not really parishioners - they've found a leader in their divisive and morally bankrupt causes - they're reinforcements for Bozek's complete takeover of St Stanislaus. Chances are they'll amend the bylaws even more to sever all ties with the Church and its proud Polish heritage, leaving the remaining true parishioners without a home...So very sad yet so predictable.

Bozek has already started making plans for his new parish:

In May, he said he'd been in talks with Married Priests Now! representatives. The organization is led by Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, an excommunicated Zambian archbishop who is married. The group, funded by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, promotes a married priesthood....

...he has been in discussions with Rose Marie Hudson and Elsie McGrath, the two women ordained as Roman Catholic Womenpriest clerics. They are co-pastors of a congregation of about 25 people called the Therese of Divine Peace Inclusive Community in St. Louis.

Bozek also has spoken with the Rev. Frank Krebs — pastor of the 90-member Sts. Clare & Francis in Webster Groves, which is separate from the Vatican — about joining Bozek's "underground" network.

It's a sad commentary to see a once thriving Catholic community devolve into a this...No doubt, many of the Polish Catholic faithful must be having nightmares over this.

Bozek said that he had been offered a bishop's position in two independent Catholic denominations, but that he wasn't interested in other groups. He wants to continue leading St. Stanislaus — and perhaps a movement with St. Stanislaus at its center.
Is this what the founders of St Stanislaus envisioned? Were they alive today, I'm certain we would be seeing the traitors of the faith being tossed out on their ears.

Pray for these poor souls.

Maryknoll Priest Excommunicates Himself for Priestettes?

From the National Catholic Reporter:
Peace activist priest assists at women's ordination ceremony
The title tells us what's coming, doesn't it?

Maryknoll Fr. Roy Bourgeois, long associated with the cause of Christian non-violence and attempts to close the international school for military training at Fort Benning, Ga., today staked his conscience to a different cause: the ordination of women in the Catholic church.
If one makes the claim to "conscience," then one is bound to properly form that "conscience." Apparently, in this case, "conscience" has been deprived of proper formation.

Bourgeois was a concelebrant and homilist at the ordination of Janice Sevre-Duszynska, a longtime peace activist and advocate of women’s ordination. The ordination occurred Aug. 9 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington, Ky.
A "concelebrant"? With fake priestettes? If past experience is any indication, there would have been no Mass and no consecration because of invalid matter...the "bread" normally used at these events is not valid matter. And one might argue that this priest did not really intend to do what the Church intends, but that is a matter for another debate.

He said, in part:
"...I felt in conscience -- this matter of conscience keeps coming up and I don’t know what other word to use -- if I didn’t attend her ordination, I would have to stop addressing this issue as I do...”
This so-called "conscience" is nothing more than at attitude of pride and rebellion. He has willfully chosen scandal over obedience, arrogance over humility. He has scandalized the Church and the faithful - and the Maryknoll order and his brother priests - all because of a defective attitude fed by dissent and insolence.

When questioned, Bourgeois said he knew there could be “serious implications” if he openly participated in a women’s ordination ceremony.
Serious implications? Automatic excommunication? And laicization?

“For me it seems very right,” he said in the interview. “I would have a problem sleeping at night in the future if I didn’t put my body where my words are.”
Well, maybe after he is booted from the priesthood for rejecting a definitive truth of the Church (the priesthood is reserved to men alone), he can join up with the priestettes or some other heretical sect. We'll have to watch what actions, if any, his Maryknoll superiors take regarding this matter.

Speaking as a self-proclaimed pope, he states:
“We cannot justify discrimination no matter how hard the bishops may try. In the end, it is wrong. It is a sin. That’s how I see it and that’s why I am going to be there Saturday.”
Some might wonder how it is possible that such a man was ever ordained? He understanding of the Church, the sacraments, sin and probably everything else appears to be severely flawed. This matter has been settled for all time, everywhere, in every age yet to come. yet he claims, in effect, that Jesus erred by excluding women from the priesthood and the Holy Spirit erred in guiding the Church for the past nearly 2000 years for guiding the Church in following Jesus' example.

It's one thing when delusional women dress up and "play priest." It's becomes even more serious when delusional priests scandalize the faithful and promote dissension and animosity in the Church. May God have mercy on this man.

Confraternity of Catholic Clergy Call for Reparation in Response to Communion Desecration

Contact: Rev. Fr. John Trigilio, Confraternity of Catholic Clergy, 717-957-2662

BALTIMORE, Maryland, July 29 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Confraternity of Catholic Clergy (a national association of 600 priests & deacons) respond to the sacrilegious and blasphemous desecration of the Holy Eucharist by asking for public reparation. We ask all Catholics of Minnesota and of the entire nation to join in a day of prayer and fasting that such offenses never happen again.

We find the actions of University of Minnesota (Morris) Professor Paul Myers reprehensible, inexcusable, and unconstitutional. His flagrant display of irreverence by profaning a consecrated Host from a Catholic church goes beyond the limit of academic freedom and free speech....

Professor Carries Out His Threat To Desecrate Eucharist?

Yes, the sad little cracker has met its undignified end, so stop pestering me. The cracker, the koran, and another surprise entry have been violated and are gone. You'll have to wait until tomorrow for the details, what little of them there are. I must quickly apologize to all you good Catholics who were hoping to attend Mass, since you can't anymore — I have been told many hundreds of times now that cracker abuse violates your right to practice your religion. I guess you'll have to adapt. Secular humanism is a good alternative, if you aren't already flocking to join the Mormons....
It's amazing to me that secular liberals practice and preach more hate and intolerance than any other group, it seems. Why does any university allow such hateful people to influence the minds of the young? And why would parents permit it?

This man needs our prayers. I wonder if he'll probably need protection from "devout Mohammendans" for desecrating the Koran?

Eucharist taken from Cathedral tabernacle

The Eucharist was stolen Friday from the tabernacle at Corpus Christi Cathedral on the 500 block of North Upper Broadway, police said.
Perhaps to hand over to Minnesota professor Paul Myers?
