Thoughts from St Alphonsus for Every Day-November 8

THE pains of the holy souls are increased by all the particular favours they received from God, such as having been made Christians, having been born in a Catholic country, having been allowed time for repentance and having obtained the pardon of their sins. All these favours make them feel more sensibly their past ingratitude to God.
