Nov 9 - Our Lady of Covadonga: A Devotion for Our Times

Special Invitation

Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 1:30 PM

Please join us for an afternoon talk on:

“Our Lady of Covadonga: A Devotion for Our Times”

by John Horvat
Director American T.F.P.

to be held at our new location;

St. Agnes Home Social Hall
10341 Manchester Rd.
Kirkwood, MO

The ancient devotion to Our Lady of Covadonga could not be more timely. It is a devotion that began in Spain at the time when all Spain practically in the hands of the Moslems. Everyone was saying that good Catholics should give up and live comfortably with the times.

Everyone except a few Catholics who resisted…and because of their resistance the history of Spain and Christendom was changed. There are similar voices heard today. Catholics need to resist the secular and immoral trends of the day by making themselves heard in the public square.

Mr. Horvat will tell the story of Our Lady of Covadonga and make an application for our days. He will also report on the 3,000 Public Square Rosary rallies and other campaigns that have given public witness to our Faith.

A question and answer period and refreshments will follow the presentation. Please join us for what promises to be a stimulating afternoon of Catholic conviviality, enlightening conversation, and hope for the future.
